My journey to being a fitness model began on crutches in 2014, I’d been training about 4 years when a knee injury left me needing major surgery and a 3 month spell on crutches. 6 months after putting the crutches down I was on stage placing 2nd in the natural bodybuilding category at Miami pro world championships 2015. More injuries and setback saw me balloon to 93kg and roughly 20% body fat in October 2015, this led to me entering Pure Elite in April 2016 and loosing 15kg to compete in over 75kg fitness model and body transformation. I’m also a qualified sport and exercise nutritional adviser.

I have trained in gyms on and off for over 12 years now and it all began for me as a young lad at the age of 19.
In my early days of training, all I was interested in was being as big and as strong as possible but having been inspired by friends in the fitness industry, I wanted to be fit, healthy and have an asymmetrical, leaner look.  I decided to start competing as a fitness model and signed up to Miami Pro which gave me a date and deadline to focus my training on.  With the support of a coach and diet plan, I began my journey into the fitness industry and haven’t looked back since.
This has become a complete lifestyle for me: if I’m not in the gym training, I’m in the kitchen either preparing food, eating it or washing my Tupperware (tuplife) a whole other story!
I have completely transformed myself and am now known in the industry as Ripped Reed! I have my own gym clothing range and specialise in fitness model swimwear for competitions that you can find at www.rippedreed.co.uk
I previously competed at Pure Elite where I took 2nd place in Body Transformation and 3rd place in Beach Body; I walked away with 2 trophies and the confidence I need to keep me focused on my goal and achieve my dream of gaining my Pro card which I plan to do by the end of 2017.
I train twice a day, 5-6 days times a week and my training consists of cardio, a lot of core exercises and weight routines. With the help of the BioTech USA behind me, I am excited to realise my potential and help me achieve my goal.
